About the project

What this database is, how data gets in, and how we handle your personal data. Русская версия

1. About

We collect pedigrees of dachshunds of all sizes (standard, miniature, rabbit) and coats (smooth, long, wire) in one open database, so anyone can look up a dog's ancestors and descendants, check inbreeding and plan a mating.

Free, no ads, no subscriptions. Everyone can view all records and calculations; an account is only needed to add data.

The database is international: dogs from FCI member registries (RKF, VDH, LOE, LOF, LOI and others), AKC, The Kennel Club, CKC and ANKC. Names and numbers are entered exactly as on the pedigree. Registries by country.

We are not a kennel club. We do not issue pedigrees or certify ownership. Data is added by owners and breeders, so typos are possible — for anything legal or financial, check the original document.

The interface is in Russian for now; a full English version is on the way. Your browser's translate button works well in the meantime.

2. Adding and correcting data

Our rule is fact plus document: name, sex, size, coat, parents, date of birth and registration numbers come from the pedigree. Accepted documents: a pedigree copy, a studbook extract, a veterinary or DNA certificate — in any language.

  • New members: your first three records are checked by the editor before they go live.
  • Trusted members (after three accepted records): your records go live at once.
  • Verified records (marked “✓ Сверено”) change only on request with a document.

Members can add dogs and whole litters, fill in pedigrees, claim a dog as owner or breeder with a document, follow a dog by email and embed its pedigree on their own website.

3. Rules

  • Records are not deleted. Each dog links ancestors and descendants; deleting one breaks the pedigrees below it. Disputed records can be hidden or frozen. Your personal data is separate and can be anonymised on request.
  • One person — one account.
  • No vandalism, no sales. Fake dogs or numbers lead to a permanent ban; prices and phone numbers are removed.
  • No scraping or mirroring of the database. Linking, quoting with a link, and embedding pedigrees with our code are welcome.
  • Your uploads are your responsibility. Photo posted without your permission? Contact us with the page address and proof of authorship.

5. Privacy notice

We follow Russian personal data law (Federal Law 152-FZ; the operator is registered with Roskomnadzor). If you are in the EEA or the UK, this notice also gives you the information required by the GDPR.

Who is responsible

Controller (operator): Смирнов Вячеслав Владимирович, 188340, Ленинградская область, Гатчинский муниципальный округ, городской посёлок Тайцы, улица Балтийская, дом 18. Contact for any data question: db@yataksa.ru.

Where data is stored

On servers in Russia. When you enter your data on this website yourself, it is collected directly in Russia; we do not transfer it to other countries.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, withdraw consent at any time, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or have your account anonymised (name, email and documents removed; dog records stay as part of the breed history). Use your account (Profile → “Мои персональные данные”) or email us from your account address. We reply within 10 working days. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Russia, Roskomnadzor; in the EEA/UK, the data protection authority of your country.

We do not make automated decisions with legal effects about you. The service is not intended for children under 16.

The Russian privacy policy and consent are the authoritative texts; this notice summarises them in English.
